Welcome to the website for Marshbrook First School and Nursery.
This site is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school and the excellent, quality education we strive to deliver.
We are a small, community first school in Penkridge, Staffordshire for children aged 2 to 9.
We offer a rich, exciting and creative curriculum, a broad range of extra-curricular activities and wrap-around care from 7:30am until 6:00pm, five days a week.
We have a reputation as a ‘caring school’ where every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their very best. We have a dedicated, well-qualified team of staff who promote a warm and friendly atmosphere, outstanding behaviour and an environment that encourages children to develop and thrive.
We have excellent facilities, including extensive grounds, a woodland area and a purpose-built computing suite. We are a ‘Visible Learning’ school. We use the research of John Hattie to inform our policies and practices, encouraging pupils to adopt a ‘can do’ attitude and take responsibility for their learning. All these factors enable us to provide high standards of education. We continue to strive for success academically and to develop personal qualities, in all our children, that are conducive to learning and excellent behaviour.
We extend a warm welcome to anyone wishing to visit and see the education we offer in action. However, whilst the current Covid restrictions are in place, we are only offering this virtual tour. Please contact the school office on 01785 712780 or via email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
